The Hospitality Inn is a few feet behind Ray's home. Police reports show the hotel has been the site of numerous crimes in the last six months.
"When you hear gunshots in the night and it's in your backyard, that's a big concern," Ray says.
Sgt. Thomas Glascock works in the police department's nuisance abatement law unit. The unit targets problem areas in the city that require constant police attention.
"We're wasting valuable time even if rescue crews have to go out when there are calls for services like an assault," Glascock says.
Glascock says if businesses do not clean up their acts, they could lose their license.
Within the next couple of months, the Hospitality Inn will be renovating and have a new name. It hopes to attract new visitors once the Aviation Museum opens.
