BENSON — Motorists on I-95 had a difficult time Monday morning -- two accidents involving tractor trailers occurred about a mile apart.
No one was killed in either wreck, but there were serious injuries. The identities of the drivers have not been released.
First, just south of Benson a tractor-trailer went off the northbound lanes of I-95.
The rig overturned and dumped its load of frozen chickens.
Just over a mile away in Harnett County, a tractor-trailer rear-ended a car causing the auto to catch on fire.
Traffic was backed up for miles Monday morning.
