HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — The Virginia Tech tragedy prompted Orange County officials to postpone two court hearings.

Alvero Castillo is charged with killing his father and opening fire at Orange High school in August 2006. William Barrett Foster is charged with holding a teacher and fellow student hostage at gunpoint.

Both teens were scheduled to be in court Wednesday, but court officials decided in light of the shootings at Virginia Tech, it would be best to delay the hearings until later in April.
