Motion Approved To Ban N.C. Baptist Churches Linked To Homosexuality

Posted — Updated

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina voted Tuesday to develop a policy that could push nearly two dozen churches out of the organization.

The convention approved a motion from Wendell pastor Bill Sanderson that could ultimately ban churches that directly and indirectly support homosexuality.

The convention's board of directors is expected to take up the issue in January.
