DURHAM, N.C. — A man wanted by Durham police faces more serious charges after getting behind the wheel of a patrol car.

Police say Daquan Bailey was handcuffed in the back of a cruiser when he managed to get into the driver's seat. He hit a pole and crashed into a truck before jumping out and running.

Bailey was caught a short time later where he was re-arrested and taken to Duke Medical Center for a check-up.
