Convicted Murderer Wetzel Denied Parole

Posted — Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — The man behind one of the biggest manhunts in state history will not get out of prison.

Frank Wetzel was denied parole Thursday. Wetzel is serving two life terms for killing two Highway Patrol troopers in 1958.

Some supporters believe there is no way Wetzel could have committed both murders.
