Raleigh PD Completes Internal Double-Dipping Probe

Posted — Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County district attorney's office confirmed Tuesday that the Raleigh Police Department has completed its investigation into officers' off-duty work practices.

The police department started the internal probe this summer after allegations surfaced during an audit that revealed some officers might be getting paid to work off-duty jobs when they were supposed to be on duty for the police department.

Assistant District Attorney Susan Spurlin is reviewing the report, which she said is very thorough.

Spurlin said she would make a decision soon as to whether any officers will face criminal charges in the double-dipping investigation.
