FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A search is on in Cumberland County to find a homeless sex offender accused of molesting a 4-year-old child.
Detectives are looking for 81-year-old Richard Gallagher. According to authorities, the crime happened after the child's family took in Gallagher as a gesture of kindness.
Gallagher was last seen in the Spring Lake area driving a gold 1994 Ford Thunderbird with North Carolina license plate
