MIDDLESEX, N.C. — The town of Middlesex and its police department hope money will help them solve what some consider a hate crime.

A Middlesex family claims someone burned a cross in their back yard and painted KKK on their house.

A $500 reward has been offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
