Wake posted N.C.'s highest voter turnout

Wake County had the highest voter turnout of any North Carolina county in the November general election, according to the State Board of Elections.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake County had the highest voter turnout of any North Carolina county in the November general election, according to the State Board of Elections.

Almost 75 percent of registered voters in Wake County cast a ballot.

Board of Elections figures also show that Wake County led the state in early-voting numbers, with more than 50 percent of voters casting a ballot before the Nov. 4 election.
