On Thursday, roads will be treated for what will be our third round of winter weather in just two weeks.
Crews and trucks from the state Department of Transportation have already began treating some roads, but the work will pick up Thursday.
The NCDOT will pre-treat roads with brine, working in Franklin and Person counties. Parts of Wake, Vance, Warren and Durham counties were treated Wednesday.
The purchase will cost $241,770, according to a statement from RDU.
