RALEIGH, N.C. — The state of North Carolina logged another flu death last week, bringing the total fatalities reported this season so far to three, according to the state health department website that tracks cases.

The latest death was reported during the week of Nov. 17 to Nov. 23, although the state site doesn't list identifying information about the victim's age or where they lived.

The current flu season runs from Oct. 29, 2019 to May 16, 2020.

During the 2018-2019 flu season, 208 flu deaths were reported in North Carolina, down from 391 deaths during the 2017-18 flu season, one of the worst, officials said.
