Man tries to rob Fayetteville bank

Police are searching for a man who tried to rob a Fayetteville bank Thursday morning.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police are searching for a man who tried to rob a Fayetteville bank Thursday morning.

The masked man walked into the BB&T branch at 2507 Bragg Blvd. shortly before 10 a.m. brandishing a weapon but left without taking any money, police said. He was seen driving away in a black minivan, heading toward Fort Bragg Road.

The robber is described as white, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a ball cap, a brown jacket and a blue bandanna across his face.
