Man pleads guilty in waiter's death
A Raleigh man was sentenced Tuesday to at least 13 years in prison after pleading guilty to a killing a Cary man in a drunken-driving wreck nine months ago.

Kenya Teveris Alston, 32, of 247 Big Oak St., pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Matthew Paul Kraft.
Police said Alston was driving drunk on March 1 when he slammed into the back of Kraft's car at more than 70 mph at the intersection of Rock Quarry and Proctor roads.
Kraft, 21, a waiter at a Cary's Chili's, died the next day at WakeMed.
As part of the plea agreement, authorities dropped charges of speeding to elude an officer, driving while impaired and hit and run.
