Man in custody after chase ends near I-95 in Cumberland Co.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) confirms a high-speed chase ended in Cumberland County overnight, leading to a man's arrest.

The NCSHP was called to help and set up stop sticks, which helped end the chase. The suspect hit the sticks, concluding the chase around 2 a.m. on NC Highway 24 near Interstate 95 in Cumberland County.

A man is in custody.

Troopers did not say how the chase began or what charges the driver faces. The man was the only person inside of the car.
