Lots of moisture means foggy, humid day in Raleigh

With a dew point at 67, Tuesday will feel muggy, and temperatures will climb to 90 degrees by the afternoon.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Tuesday started out foggy as moisture saturated the atmosphere.

With a dew point at 67, the air will feel muggy, and temperatures will climb to 90 degrees by the afternoon.

There’s a 20 percent chance for rain on Tuesday.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible Tuesday evening, but they won’t be widespread and aren’t expected to bring heavy rain, WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.

A storm system moving through Illinois will arrive in North Carolina on Wednesday, which has a 40 percent chance for rain.

Thursday and Friday will see sunnier skies.

High temperatures will stay in the low 90s throughout the week.
