Remembering Rosemary

Rosemary “Rosie” Violet:

We were so happy when Dad bought you home after an evening meeting; Peyton especially happy to be woken up to greet our new little package. You were just about two months old when someone plucked you from the woods, because no puppy should live abandoned and fending for herself. Though you should’ve one day been a magnificent Labrador retriever, sadly you were only with us for just two weeks. You will live forever in our memories in your pudgy little puppy body. Our attachment to you was quick; to our Basset hound, you were the puppy she never had. To our son, his very own puppy to love and raise. Your brief life made a huge impact on our small family, but rest peacefully knowing that we are pleased to have given you two weeks of respite, of warm hearth and home, of full bellies, and of love.

You are still missed.
