RALEIGH, N.C. — The freezing temperatures didn't stop some Raleigh residents from making a Sheetz run Tuesday morning.

“I’m usually all for cold weather, but this is too cold for me,” said Olivia Smith, who went to the Sheetz off N.C. Highway 54 in Raleigh after she got off work.

Jeremy Williams pulled in on his way to the coast.

“Me, I keep a lot of coffee, I try not to work outside and I stay warm in the car,” he said.

This cold morning brought James Austin out. He noticed his tire pressure was low while out doing deliveries.

Austin said his thick clothing kept him only so warm.

“My coat is keeping my body warm, but my hands are freezing, so I am starting to lose feeling in one of my fingers,” he said.

Smith, Williams and Austin all said they forgot their gloves at home.
