HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — A Holly Springs mother is accused of running over her husband with her children in her car.

Kaci Jo Dabney, 23, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, felony hit and run and misdemeanor child abuse.

Dabney was arrested on Saturday after police said she assaulted her husband with an SUV and then hit a tree. Police said her four children were in the vehicle at the time.

Dabney told police that her husband threatened her and she was trying to drive away when he jumped on the car and was hit in the process. She said she called 911 for her husband and admitted to police that she hit him, though her husband denied to police that she hit him.

Dabney was being held under a $64,000 bond in the Wake County jail on Monday.
