RALEIGH, N.C. — Graduations, Mother's Day and rain - an unsettled weekend is on the way, according to WRAL meteorologist Mike Maze.

"We have a cold front that will stall out over the area on Saturday brining along rain," Maze said.

But Maze said it depends on where the front stalls as to how much rain the area will see.

Saturday begins with the chance of rain, and by lunchtime thunderstorms are possible.

"We will see a break in the rain on Sunday morning, so those morning graduations I think will be OK," Maze said. "It is another front that moves in later in the day that brings more rain and the chance for thunderstorms."

The rain moves out for the start of the workweek.

Highs Saturday and Sunday will top out in the 70s, with overnight low temperatures in the low 60s.
