GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Fremont man was arrested after authorities say he sold stolen jewelry at a pawn shop in Goldsboro.

Police responded to a break-in Tuesday on Norwayne School Road, where Nathaniel Aaron Breshears told police he noticed his neighbor's dog was outside and came to inform them. Breshears told police he then noticed someone had broken the door to his neighbor's house.

When the resident returned home later, they notified authorities that jewelry was stolen.

Detectives later discovered the stolen jewelry at a Goldsboro pawn shop. Most of the jewelry was recovered.

Breshears was charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen property. Wayne County Sheriff's deputies said he was being held under $5,000 secured bond.
