A Fort Bragg soldier was among two killed Thursday in Afghanistan when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier was among two killed Thursday in Afghanistan when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb.

Staff Sgt. Brandon F. Eggleston, 29, of Candler, who was assigned to 4th Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, died in Ghazni province, the Department of Defense said.

Sgt. Dick A. Lee Jr., 31, of Orange Park, Fla., was also killed. He was assigned to 95th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command in Sembach, Germany.

No other details were released.
