The family-owned company in Clinton makes metal strapping. Officials said the fire was sparked in the part of the plant where the strapping is painted. The fire was contained to that part of the plant.

The flames set off sprinklers, which caused some water damage throughout the building.

DuBose employs about 100 people. A company spokesman said it may take a day or two to get the manufacturing process back up and running again.
