Fayetteville police are searching for a man who allegedly raped a woman on Friday evening.

Fayetteville police searching for rape suspect
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Fayetteville police are searching for a man who allegedly raped a woman on Friday evening.

Police said a woman was walking along Bragg Boulevard when she was offered a ride by an unknown suspect. The suspect drove the woman to the 500 block of Old Wilmington Road where he raped her, police said.

The incident was reported around 6:40 p.m.

The suspect was described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s. He has a skinny build, medium-complexion skin and a short afro hair style. Police said he was wearing glasses, a black T-shirt with gold writing and was driving a white sedan with tan interior.
