FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police were searching Tuesday for a man who robbed a Bank of America.

The man entered the branch at 324 Mason St. shortly before 10:30 a.m. and gave the teller a note demanding money, police said. He didn’t display a weapon and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

A witness told police a man leaving the bank about that time got into a 1990s-model gray Cadillac Deville with a black top and head toward Hay Street. Police said they weren't sure that vehicle was the getaway car after the robbery.

The robber was described as a black man in his mid-20s to early 30s, 6 feet to 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing 175 to 185 pounds. He was wearing black clothing, a black ball cap and sunglasses.

Anybody with information about the robbery is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department Investigative Bureau at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
