ALE agents reel in drug, alcohol offenders at Phish concert in Raleigh

After complaints from concert-goers about open drug use and drunken patrons at Raleigh's Walnut Creek Amphitheater, investigators with the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement agency chose Friday's Phish concert to reel in some offenders.

RALEIGH, N.C. — After complaints from concert-goers about open drug use and drunken patrons at Raleigh's Walnut Creek Amphitheater, investigators with the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement agency chose Friday's Phish concert to reel in some offenders.

Agent Josh Batten said his agency doesn't target any particular band or group of fans, but that complaints from Walnut Creek had been building for weeks.

Agents arrested 65 people, about half of them from out of state, and filed a total 115 charges. Most of the charges are misdemeanors, but 25 of them are felonies.
Batten said ALE made about 30 arrests Thursday at a concert featuring Florida Georgia Line.
Those Friday arrested were charged as follows:
