Deputies: 'Dangerous' Man Surrendered

A man whom authorities considered armed and dangerous surrendered to the Wake County Sheriff's Office Monday.

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — A man whom authorities considered armed and dangerous surrendered to the Wake County Sheriff's Office at 10 a.m. Monday.

Jonathan Michael Jeffcoat, 31, of 5600 Doorhees Lane in Holly Springs, had been wanted on six outstanding warrants.

He faced two charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and one charge each of possession of a stolen vehicle, outstanding domestic violence order, misdemeanor communicating threats and misdemeanor larceny.

Jeffcoat has a history of convictions for breaking and entering, larceny, motor vehicle theft and drug possession in Wake, Mitchell and Alamance counties, dating to 1993, according to state Department of Correction records.
