Crash involving semi truck shuts down US 501 in Durham
An entire direction of U.S. Highway 501 was closed Monday after a crash involving an SUV and a semi truck.

DURHAM, N.C. — An entire direction of U.S. Highway 501 was closed for several hours Monday morning after a crash involving an SUV and a semi truck.
The crash was reported on U.S. 501, Durham Chapel Hill Boulevard, near Garrett Road, around 3:30 a.m. The northbound direction was closed for hours but reopened by 8 a.m.
The SUV was badly damaged.
