Saturday, 2:17 p.m.: The Williams family in Four Oaks turned the snowfall into an early celebration of Valentine's Day.
Saturday, 1:51 p.m.: Viewer Daniel Smith writes: "We're just inside the northern boundary of Durham's city limits, just off Roxboro Road. At 10 a.m., we had 1.75 inches of accumulation on grassy and elevated surfaces. By 1:30 p.m., it's almost entirely melted away. Our house's snowfall total for 2010 now stands at 9.75 inches."

Saturday, 9:35 a.m.: Viewer Carolyn Overton writes: "We got some of this snow in Butner, N.C. We may have an inch or a little over. ... The cars go by my house a little fast. ... There is a car in the ditch and one turned upside down. So the wheels are up in the air and not on the road. I went out this morning and I did not have any trouble, but I was not one speeding down the road."
Saturday, 9:33 a.m.: Carrboro town officials say that crews are out plowing arterial, collector and secondary streets. Temperatures are still hovering near freezing, though, so motorists should be careful.
Saturday, 9:32 a.m.: Rocky Mount officials say that roads are passable, but they urged motorists to use extra caution, especially at intersections and on bridges. Report trouble spots by calling the city's Streets and Stormwater Division at 252-467-4906.
Saturday, 9:28 a.m.: Viewer Dave Roy says that the Colonial Acres subdivision in Wayne County got 6 inches of snow.
Saturday, 9:24 a.m.: Sledders are coming out in droves to Rowan Park in Fayetteville, WRAL reporter Bryan Mims says. Mims says that at the sight, "the inner child comes forth. And I just want to go sliding down a hill."

Saturday, 8:59 a.m.: Viewer Mike Blackley in Atlantic Beach writes: " It appears that we got around three inches of snow here, but the wind was blowing at 10-15 mph so a lot of it got blown around."

Saturday, 8:20 a.m.: The Raleigh police watch commander says that Poole Road up to the Interstate 440 split is also seeing some wrecks. Road crews are going out to spread some salt and sand on that stretch of Interstate 40 West, between Jones Franklin and Buck Jones roads. Slow down, police say.

Saturday, 7:56 a.m.: Ice has caused another wreck on Interstate 40 West, at Rock Quarry Road, in Raleigh. Dispatchers said some injuries have been reported.
Saturday, 7:47 a.m.: Be careful on those roads! Troopers say that roads are starting to pick up. Several wrecks happened at once on a bridge on U.S. Highway 1 in Cary.
Saturday, 7:29 a.m.: Cumberland County dispatchers confirm that there is wreck involving an 18-wheeler and SUV on Interstate 95 North, near N.C. Highway 87.

Saturday, 6:30 a.m.: Johnston County dispatchers say slick roads are causing wrecks on Interstate 95 at the Neuse River Bridge and on N.C. Highway 210 at the Cleveland Road bridge.

Saturday, 12:13 a.m.: A viewer reports 2.5 inches of snow at Carolina Trace, 4 miles south of Sanford.
Friday, 11:36 p.m.: High School OT's Nick Stevens reported that N.C. Highway 54 near Maynard Road was slick. He also said Morrsville Parkway was slippery.
Friday, 11:03 p.m.: Road conditions in Winston-Salem are "poor" with ice and snow slick spots developing on bridges and secondary roads, police said. Specifically U.S. Highway 311 south from Winston-Salem toward High Point and the surrounding areas have very poor road conditions. Salt trucks are working on the major roads.
Police said motorists should use extreme caution and not drive unless they need to.
Friday, 11 p.m.: Wrecks have been reported in several counties.
The conditions had some drivers sliding into ditches in Wake County, the state Highway Patrol said.
Fayetteville police said road conditions were quiet around 9:45 p.m. There were a few dozen wrecks, mostly in the Columbus County area, troopers said.
Wrecks with injuries were reported at the intersections of Holly Springs and Kildaire Farm roads in Apex and Ballentine Dairy and Sunset Lake roads in Raleigh.
Other wrecks were reported at:

- Lake Boone Trail and Landmark Drive in Raleigh
- Wakefield Plantation and Forest Pine drives in Raleigh
- 3921 Western Boulevard in Raleigh

- Sunset Lake Road and Main Street in Holly Springs
- Perry Creek and Berkshire Downs in Raleigh
- 10000 Raleigh Road near the intersection of King Mill Road in Johnston County
Friday, 10:55 p.m.: Viewer Justin reported between 4 and 5 inches of snow in two hours. "Not too bad for Hope Mills, huh?" he wrote.
Friday, 10:40 p.m.: Viewer Heidi reported about 1 1/2 inches of snow in Sharpsburg.
