ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Hundreds of people were arrested in Rocky Mount in an effort to clean up criminal activity around convenience stores.

Law enforcement officials said 410 people were arrested during a four-day crime sweep, Operation Strike One.

About 40 officers from eight different law enforcement agencies targeted 14 stores in the Rocky Mount area. The charges covered a wide range of criminal offenses.
