Maya Angelou celebrated her 80th birthday in Winston-Salem on Saturday.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Maya Angelou celebrated her 80th birthday in Winston-Salem on Saturday.
Fans, local musicians and gospel singers transformed her poems into songs for a special event.
After singing "still I Rise" the birthday party continued with poetry readings, cake and music.
