21-year-old shot, killed while driving in Dunn
One person was shot and killed while driving on U.S. Highway 301 in Dunn on Wednesday afternoon, Harnett County deputies said.

Deputies said they received a call about a person who had been shot while driving at about 3:40 p.m. When they arrived at the scene, they found Demetrius Monte Johnson, 21, dead in a car at 4367 U.S. 301.
According to Harnett County Sheriff Wayne Coats, this was an isolated incident.
"It looks like a vehicle came up from behind and shot him through the back window," he said. "Nothing surprises me anymore out here. It goes to show the recklessness of people today. They don't care and they make poor choices and put other people at risk."
Coats said they have a suspect in mind.
"We have a pretty good idea, but we're not comfortable releasing any names at this point," he said.
