DURHAM, N.C. — I’ve been watching the renovation at the old Fishmonger’s for months.
Now, Saint James is open!

My husband and I were looking for a place to grab dinner after the Duke basketball game. We find there aren’t too many places open past 10 in Durham, but to our surprise, Saint James is open until 11! So we gave it a try.

The ambiance is downright awesome. Chic, yet warm and inviting.

I’m vegetarian, but hey - I try all new Durham restaurants regardless of cuisine. I had the beet and goat cheese salad, cacio e pepe cauliflower and Old Bay fries.

My husband loved his swordfish dish, and the portions were big enough we both left full and with to-go boxes in hand.

My favorite part was definitely the chocolate silk pie for dessert.

Pretty rich, so I’d recommend splitting it with a friend.

Welcome, Saint James!
