DURHAM, N.C. — Zen Fish, a new Poke style restaurant, will open in Durham's Ninth Street area this fall, owners announced Tuesday.

Zen Fish will be located in the Solis Ninth Street mixed-used community. It will be the first restaurant in the Triangle to specialize in Poke, a staple of Hawaiian cuisine.

Poke is a marinated raw fish served in a salad or bowl and topped with items including greens, rice, edamame and scallions. Zen Fish will also serve sushi burritos, which will contain fillings like seaweed, sushi-grade rice combined with meats, vegetables and sauces.

Owner Janet Lee hopes to open more Zen Fish locations throughout the Carolinas.
