The 2020 season marked the first time a season had been canceled since 1944 due to World War II.
Now it has again been cut short due to COVID-19, organizers announced Thursday.
"The Lost Colony" is performed nightly each summer at Waterside Theatre on Roanoke Island. Only a few performances were canceled, as the season was to end on Aug. 21. Ticket holders can contact the box office at 252-473-6000 for a full refund.
