Severe thunderstorms possible
Residents around North Carolina are bracing themselves against the possibility of another round of severe weather late Monday.

Unseasonable heat and high humidity are the potential tinder for storms.
Raleigh and Durham saw a high of 92 degrees Monday, and Fayetteville 97 degrees. The humidity made it feel as if it were actually between 100 and 105 degrees.
A slight chance for isolated, widely scattered afternoon thunderstorms continues through Wednesday, but there's no real relief in sight from the high temperatures.
The mercury was forecast to climb into the 90s every day this week but Wednesday, with overnight lows dropping into only the low 70s.
