DURHAM, N.C. — Cory Jiggets was indicted Monday in the murder of Skye Moniqua Lee, the mother of his child.

Jiggets, 19, of Fidelity Drive, was being held without bond in the Durham County Jail.

Lee was found dead in her apartment at 3628 Keystone Place March 30 when officers responded to calls about a shooting. Her 10-month-old boy was inside the apartment unharmed, police said.

About an hour later, officers arrested Jiggets as he tried to run out the back door of a house on Young Street, police said.

Investigators said they believe that the motive for the slaying was domestic. Jiggets was the father of Lee's 10-month-old son, and a judge had ordered him to stay away from her following a December assault, police said.

Lee was a senior at Northern High School in Durham.
