Police on Saturday found two people dead from apparent gunshot wounds in Goldsboro.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Police on Saturday found two people dead from apparent gunshot wounds in Goldsboro.
According to the Goldsboro Police Department, officers responded to a welfare check around 4:32 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Fussell Street. When officers arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds.
Both people, later identified as 53-year-old Jamelle Best and 44-year-old Elainna Ebersole, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are asking anyone with information related to their deaths to contact the Goldsboro Police Department.
