Stabbing reported at New Bern Ave. Walmart; 1 person injured, 1 in custody

One person is in police custody and another is in the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a reported stabbing at the Walmart at 4400 New Bern Avenue in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — One person is in police custody and another is in the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a reported stabbing at the Walmart at 4400 New Bern Avenue in Raleigh.

Police were called to the store at about 3:15 p.m. The investigation slowed traffic nearby and closed part of the parking lot of the store, which shares a shopping center with a Starbucks and other businesses.

Police did not release any information about the victim, a man, or the person they had in custody.
