A World War II Veteran in Greenville was celebrated Wednesday as he marked his 94th birthday.

Clint Ridenour entered the military at the young age of 14 to serve in World War II. He later served as an officer at the Greenville Police Department.

Ridenour was emotional but grateful as he watched Patriot Guard riders and Greenville police officers show up for his 94th birthday party at Mission BBQ Wednesday afternoon.

He credits his longevity to keeping his faith strong.

Recent data from 2023 says that only around 119,000 WWII Veterans are still living.
