Body found in Durham woods prompts death investigation

Police in Durham are investigating a death after a body was discovered in a wooded area on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of a deceased person at approximately 1:25 p.m. in the 3800 block of NC Highway 55.

The cause of death remains unknown, and the incident is currently under investigation.
