Deadly Durham stabbing: Man arrested, charged with murder

A man died from a stabbing in Durham on Queen Street Thursday morning.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police arrested a man they say is responsible for a fatal stabbing in November.

According to police, investigators arrested and charged 40-year-old Daniel Lamont McCray with the murder of 41-year-old Alexander Bernard Jordan.

On Thursday, Nov. 30, around 7:15 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Liberty Street and Queen Street, near the parking lot of Urban Ministries.

Jordan was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died at the hospital.

Surveillance photos showed a man, believed to be McCray, who could be responsible for a deadly Durham stabbing.

Police charged McCray with murder on Dec. 4 and arrested him on Dec. 6.

McCray is at the Durham County Jail and is being held with no bond.
