1 dead from hit-and-run crash in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. — A person was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Friday morning along New Bern Avenue.
The crash happened on New Bern Avenue near N. Raleigh Boulevard during the busy morning commute.
The westbound lanes of New Bern Avenue were closed between North Carver Street and Raleigh Boulevard for several hours.
Sky 5 flew over the scene after 8:15 a.m.
The person who died was not identified by police.
