RALEIGH, N.C. — The body of a man who was shot and killed was found Saturday morning on Riverview Road near the Neuse River Trail in Wake County.

At 5:50 a.m., the Wake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting in the 1720 block of Riverview Road. That’s where deputies found the body of a man, later identified as 24-year-old Abad Candela Robles, who appeared to have been shot.

Deputies arrested 20-year-old Marvin Gasga-Camacho and charged him with murder and concealment of death. In the arrest warrant, deputies said Gasga-Camacho attempted to hide Robles' body by dumping it into the river.

Gasga-Camacho was charged with murder and concealment of death after Wake Co. deputies discovered a body near the Neuse River Trail.

Deputies took Gasga-Camacho to the Wake County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.

Gasga-Camacho makes his first court appearance on Monday at 1:30 p.m.

The brother of Candela Robles started a GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses. On the GoFundMe page, his brother said Candela Robles leaves behind a one-year-old daughter.
