Police arrest 2 men in connection to shooting behind Clayton townhomes

Two men were arrested Thursday in connection to a shooting in Clayton.

CLAYTON, N.C. — Two men were arrested Thursday in connection to a shooting in Clayton.

Ethan Von Lee, 18, of Fayetteville, and Christopher Ryan Michael Morrison, 20, of Fayetteville, were arrested and charged with attempted murder and felonious conspiracy in the shooting of Joseph Norman, 19, of Clayton.

Both men are being held on a $1 million bond.

Norman was shot just before midnight behind the townhomes on Athletic Club Boulevard.

At 11:55 p.m., Clayton police were dispatched to a shooting that occurred in a parking lot behind the Domino’s Pizza located at 375 Athletic Club Blvd.

Officers found someone inside a vehicle who had been shot in the neck. The victim, later identified as Norman, was taken into surgery at WakeMed in Raleigh.

Norman remains hospitalized while recovering from the shooting.
