9 juveniles, 1 adult charged in rash of car thefts around Fayetteville
Fayetteville police have charged nine juveniles and one adult for motor vehicle thefts involving Hyundai and Kia vehicles this summer.
Posted — UpdatedDetectives have charged nine juvenile offenders with a total of 58 charges related to motor vehicle thefts dating back to July 8, 2023.
The total number of charges are as follows:
- Possession of a handgun by a minor (three counts)
- Larceny of a motor vehicle (12 counts)
- Possession of a stolen motor vehicle (19 counts)
- Felony conspiracy (19 counts)
- Resist, delay, obstruct an officer (one count)
- Misdemeanor larceny (two counts)
- Misdemeanor conspiracy (two counts)
Detectives have also charged one man related to the thefts. Nineteen-year-old Ditanier Davis of Hope Mills was arrested and charged with three counts of larceny of a motor vehicle, five counts of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, five counts of felony conspiracy and one count of resist, delay, obstruct an officer.
