Man, woman arrested after Cary police break up bar fight

Cary police officers broke up a bar fight early Saturday morning.

CARY, N.C. — Cary police officers broke up a bar fight early Saturday morning.

Around 2 a.m., officers responded to N. Harrison Avenue after receiving a call from a patron at the scene who said a bar fight got out of control.

At least eight officers responded and arrested two people. One officer received minor injuries while attempting to break up the fight.

A man and woman were arrested and charged with resisting and obstructing an officer.

Oquan Batavious Wilkins, 24, was charged with resisting a public officer. Wilkins was also cited for resisting and obstructing an officer.

Alexis Shernon McPhail, 23, was charged with resisting a public officer and assaulting a government official/employee.
