Deadly crash in Clinton splits car in half, kills at least 2

At least two people are dead and another person was injured after a deadly car crash in Clinton late Sunday night.

CLINTON, N.C. — At least two people are dead and another person was injured after a car crash in Clinton late Sunday night.

The crash happened around 11:45 p.m. on Reedsford Road.

The driver who was killed was 21-year-old Lucas Ramos Garcia.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol troopers said the car was going upwards of 80mph when the driver hit a ditch.

Deadly crash in Clinton kills 2, injures another

The car kept going into the trees and was completely demolished, splitting into two parts.

One person was airlifted to WakeMed hospital with serious injuries.

Troopers are working to identify the other person who died as well as person who was taken to the hospital.
