JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — Seven Johnston County students are ok after a school bus crash on Monday.

According to Caitlin Furr of JCPS, school bus 180 was traveling from Princeton Middle/High School and crashed just after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Brogden Road and Brogden School Road .

Local authorities said the driver of the car involved was attempting to pass in a no-passing zone when it collided with the bus. The bus attempted to avoid the crash and drove into the ditch.

The bus driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Authorities said the other driver was "pinned" in her car and transported to WakeMed with serious injuries.
