Raleigh's Fourth of July fireworks show moves to Dix Park
The city of Raleigh announced Thursday that its annual fireworks show would be moving to Dorothea Dix Park.
Posted — UpdatedTypically, Raleigh's fireworks show is held at NC State's Carter-Finley Stadium.
Dix Park's gates will open at 6 p.m. and fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m., according to a release from the city of Raleigh.
The event will feature music and lawn games. A free shuttle will take guests to Dix Park from the Moore Square parking deck in downtown, the Red Hat parking deck in downtown and Centennial Campus.
Free event parking is available in designated NC State parking lots and decks on campus.
Alcohol, smoking and vaping are not allowed at the event.
